Tell me Tuesday – What tips do you have for hosting a ‘green’ wedding? WWF August 7, 2012 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email For me – this has been the summer of weddings. Between friends, family, friends of friends, and family friends, I have found myself RSVP-ing ‘yes’ to 5 weddings this summer – one each weekend in August! Although I do love the romance and happiness that comes during wedding season, I am also very aware of the toll that such an event can take on the environment. A few ideas I have come up with and plan to put in place to lessen my impact on the environment during these soirees are: -Carpooling with friends instead of driving to the weddings individually -Participating in a ‘dress swap’ where each of my friends offers up a few dresses and we mix and match each weekend, instead of purchasing a new outfit for each event -Opting for the vegetarian option if a dinner is served So tell us: What tips have you heard for hosting a ‘green’ wedding, or being as ‘green’ as you can while attending one?
