April is Explore Outdoors month! Spring has sprung, why not celebrate? April is a great month to get outside and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re training for WWF’s CN Tower Climb, discovering the season with your kids or students or just enjoying warmer weather, keep an eye on our blog and wwfcastg.wwf.ca for great ideas and resources.
Want to explore the outdoors with your class? Get started with advice from these six elementary school teachers, who all answered the question, “What challenges do you face when spending time outdoors with your class?”

Through our education program, Schools for a Living Planet, WWF is encouraging classrooms to get outside this month using our brand new and free resources for teachers. Today we’re launching the Nature is Our Home unit for kindergarten. This resource introduces students to the idea that all living things share a home called planet Earth.

Full of circle time activity ideas, simple art projects, games, and recommended books and videos, Nature is Our Home makes full use of the outdoors and helps young children learn about some of the animals and insects that make their homes in trees of all types.
