Arctic Renewable Energy Summit – media availability

The Arctic Renewable Energy Summit – co-hosted by the Federal Government, Government of Nunavut, Qulliq Energy Corporation and WWF-Canada – brings together leading northern remote communities’ renewable energy researchers and experts to share the latest information about potential and stories of success from other Arctic communities.
  
Key focuses will be to explore policy regulations that enable renewable energy deployment and growth in northern remote communities, and to discuss the economic and technical feasibility of deployment in Nunavut candidate communities.           
   
What:             Nunavut Minister of Environment and Energy Joe Savikataaq and Minister of Qulliq Energy Corporation Johnny Mike, and WWF-Canada President David Miller and Vice President, Arctic Paul Crowley are available for questions from the media
