Purpose:
WWF-Canada is seeking a professional, detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual whose primary role is to support the Donor Relations and Services Department through database maintenance and electronic donor communications.

WWF-Canada maintains a database of supporters in Raiser’s Edge software and some records may be duplicated in error. Duplicate records give rise to inflated counts of supporters, more clutter in the database than necessary and also reflect poorly on the organization when it sends multiple pieces of the same communications to the same person. WWF-Canada staff will generate lists of potential duplicate records to be merged which volunteers use to identify actual duplicates.

This role is not one of data entry as such because there is no requirement for a certain rate of completion of merges. Rather, attention to detail and sound decisions based on specified criteria are more important. The candidate should have an appreciation for the need for clean data and a desire to help WWF-Canada achieve that goal.

Supporters of WWF-Canada also donate through a third-party website. The volunteer will send ‘Thank You’ messages to these supporters.
