Event Volunteers Needed – WWF-Canada at the Mount Pleasant Community Fair WWF September 18, 2013 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email WWF-Canada needs volunteers for the Mount Pleasant Community Fair – Saturday, September 28th Where: WWF’s Toronto Office 245 Eglinton Avenue East (South-east corner of Eglinton Avenue East and Mt. Pleasant Road) Event Date: Saturday September 28, 2013 Commitment: 10:30 am-4:00 pm (5.5 hours) Breaks will be provided. Shifts available as well if 5.5 hours is too long! Purpose: WWF-Canada will have a table set up outside our Toronto office where staff and volunteers will be talking about WWF-Canada and our work in communities all across Canada. This event will raise awareness in the Mount Pleasant Community about WWF-Canada and our conservation work coast to coast. We will also be promoting the Community Panda program and will be encouraging kids to get involved and host their own fundraising events for WWF. Swag will also be sold to fundraise money for WWF-Canada. Impact: This event helps WWF-Canada raise awareness with the people in our community about the vital conservation work that WWF does and how each person can do their part and help in whatever capacity they can (ie. Volunteer, host events, become a monthly donor, etc.) Responsibilities: Represent WWF-Canada at the Fall Fair by being polite and courteous to participants. Hand out WWF swag including stickers and tattoos Sell Swag Bags to interested participants Required Skills: Excellent customer service skills; someone who enjoys interacting with people of all ages Learning and Development Opportunities: Will gain an overview of the Community Panda fundraising program as well as insight into WWF events! Benefits: The opportunity to interact with WWF-Canada staff and key supporters and gain valuable experience at community events. Please note: Volunteers MUST be 16 years of age.
