Ottawa Bike-in Movie Night: Free Outdoor Screening of E.T. WWF May 28, 2010 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email (Ottawa: May 28, 2010) – You’ve been to a drive-in movie, but have you ever been to a bike-in movie? On Friday, June 4, local residents in Ottawa are encouraged to bike (walk or take transit) to Strathcona Park for a free outdoor screening of the classic movie, E.T. Upon the grass, and underneath the starry sky, Ottawa residents are invited to bring their own seating, such as blankets or lawn chairs, and snacks as they watch the show. Attendees will also have a chance to win great bike-related prizes. Presented by WWF-Canada, the Bike-In Movie Nights are being held in support of their latest campaign Pin It for the Planet. The campaign encourages Canadians to shake up their car routine and use active, sustainable ways to go about daily travels to work, shop, school and play. WWF-Canada is encouraging Canadians to get out of their car, and then, as a sign of their commitment to the environment, to wear their car key pinned to their shirt. Pin it for the Planet is part of the Green CommUnity Program, supported by partial proceeds from the sale of plastic shopping bags by Loblaw Companies Ltd WWF-Canada Presents an Outdoor Screening of E.T.
