Vote Canada for the World’s Greenest City WWF February 22, 2013 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email (Vancouver, BC, February 21, 2013) ‐‐ WWF‐Canada is encouraging Canadians to vote for their favourite, most inspiring city in WWF’s Earth Hour City Challenge. Three Canadian cities – all in British Columbia ‐ are among the 17 cities in 6 countries around the world competing for the global People’s Choice Award. Vancouver, Colwood and Surrey are the Canadian finalists competing for global recognition for their efforts to increase the use of renewable energy and reduce climate impact. Online voting is easy at www.ehcitychallenge.org and will run from February 15 – March 15, 2013. The People’s Choice Award will be presented on March 19 at the Earth Hour City Challenge Conference and Award Ceremony in Malmö, Sweden.
