York Mills Collegiate: Eco-fashionable!

Although the show was just over 45 minutes, it was packed with useful information about the textiles industry, the impact of growing cotton on communities, how one person’s actions DO matter, and two fantastic runway shows! They even managed to create a hilarious video highlighting the impact of simple actions- it’s posted for you to enjoy here.
Melissa and Marco were the students who coordinated the whole event, and it was inspiring, educational, and most of all fun! They did a great job organizing and leading such a big process. There were so many others involved- the school’s eco team, teachers, administration, tech support, and a host of others who made the event go off without a hitch.  I can tell this group of students will develop into important green leaders in the near future when they head off to university and the working world.
