The electric car brings out the eco-nerd in Jessi Cruickshank WWF November 10, 2014 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email WWF supporter and TV personality Jessi Cruickshank is now a bona fide electric vehicles (EVs) expert. We’re not surprised. Earlier in March of this year, she told us about her early passion for the nature as that 11 yr. old environmental hall monitor. ©WWF-Canada She helped us break down the misconceptions and confusions around EVs. “An EV can get a full charge in 10 hours on a regular home outlet or install a 220 volt outlet and cut that time substantially. Some even have a fast charging stations so you can get an 80% charge in just 20 minutes,” Jessi said all in one breath. Yeah, she’s an eco-nerd. And now she’s hanging out with our president and CEO, David Miller, taking a spin in an EV around Toronto talking about the environmental and aesthetic appeal of buying vintage and visiting the Leslie Street Spit. See Jessi and David speed around in a shiny EV and go bird watching as part of our “First Dates with David Miller” web series and learn about how EVs fit into a sustainable future for our Canadian cities. Watch them all! The “First Dates with David Miller” series also includes a date with Executive Chef and Restaurateur Susur Lee and comedian Mark McKinney.
