Parking lot takeover – the electric vehicle throwdown in Waterdown Rebecca Spring September 25, 2012 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email By Rebecca Spring, Manager of Sustainable Transportation, WWF-Canada Why an EV throwdown in Waterdown? Aside from catching a glimpse of the changing fall colours, these enthusiasts wanted to test out the 10 new level two chargers that were recently installed at the North Wentworth Arena. (C) Michael Bettencourt While exciting to test out the new hardware and to give recognition to the sustainable transportation leadership, these EV owners also took advantage of the FREE charge that helped extend their range. With seven pure electric cars attending, and most travelling from the Toronto area, WWF-Canada was happy to hear that this Sunday afternoon drive and meetup used absolutely zero fossil fuels! With notes and photos from Michael Bettencourt.
