Ryan Reynolds and Orca Adoptions – Happy Oceans Day indeed! WWF Canada June 8, 2012 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email On Oceans Day, we’re excited to announce we’re launching our new orca adoption kits! We’re even more excited to work with producers of The Whale to promote our new orca. The Whale is a feature documentary also narrated by Ryan Reynolds, which comes out on DVD this month and will feature a PSA about our work to protect orca and other cetacean habitat. Killer whale / Orca (Orcinus orca) just below the surface, Kristiansund, Nordmore, Norway, February 2009. © Wild Wonders of Europe /Nils Aukan / WWF The Whale tells the true story of how people responded when a young, wild killer whale nicknamed Luna, who lost contact with his pod on the coast of British Columbia, turned up alone in Nootka Sound. See this amazing movie and tell others about it to help promote the work we’re doing to protect sensitive marine habitat for at risk whales on B.C.’s West Coast.
