Tell Me Tuesday: How are you celebrating the “end” of summer? WWF August 30, 2011 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email I feel privileged to be taking over this fun and interesting blog series from her, and look forward to hearing all about your thoughts and actions for a living planet! If you ever have any suggestions for these posts, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Incredibly, September is now just days away and Labour Day is next Monday. For most of us, this marks the end of summer and our last real chance to get out and enjoy the weather before we return to school or prepare for a busy fall at work. I’m taking advantage of one more long weekend to join friends at their cottage on Georgian Bay. It’s one of my favourite ways to connect with nature – swimming in the lake, hiking, spending all day outside, enjoying the starry nights and checking out the local wildlife (we’ve seen raccoons aplenty, several foxes, loons galore, blue herons and even a bear).
