Tell Me Tuesday: What’s your wish for the planet? WWF December 20, 2011 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email Last week, we posted a blog featuring some of our experts’ wishes for the planet in 2012. They included everything from protecting the Arctic from climate change to getting Canadians involved in caring for their local watersheds to putting an end to overfishing. I’ve given it some thought, and here’s my biggest wish for the planet: I wish for the public discussion about climate change to move from “is it happening” (because, yes, it is) to “what will we do about it.” At WWF, we’re very engaged in the “what to do” discourse, and we need those who aren’t to catch up. It’s a critical discussion about possibilities and solutions, a discussion that will allow us to move forward with the actions we know we need to take – like shifting to a renewable energy economy, conserving energy better and electrifying transportation. We have lots of great ideas and we want to start really moving down that path.
