We’re training for the Climb for Nature x BC Place with help from Leo the Lion Emily Vandermeer April 25, 2024 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email Have you heard? WWF’s Climb for Nature is coming to the west coast for the first time ever on May 26! The BC Lions’ mascot Leo the Lion welcomed the WWF panda to the iconic BC Place stadium on Earth Day with a friendly stair climb competition. Plus, according to our conservation scientists, lions are faster than pandas. But don’t worry, we’re training for the big climb! And we’re calling on adventurers and nature lovers of all ages to step up for wildlife with us. The single bowl climb is almost 3,000 steps up and down the stairs and aisles of BC Place’s lower bowl. Or, if you have the physical prowess of Leo the Lion, register to conquer the double bowl climb for a total of 6,000 steps. Don’t forget to flex your fundraising muscles — every dollar raised will help protect and restore nature in BC and throughout Canada. This is your chance to get off the sidelines and into the fight against wildlife loss by climbing the stands of BC Place on May 26, or climb stairs somewhere near you as part of our Climb for Nature x Anywhere.
