Video: Hockey heroes join Team Earth Hour WWF Canada March 29, 2012 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email As I’ve mentioned before, my dad is a conservationist. But more than almost anything else, he’s a hockey fan. So when he helpfully (ahem) mentioned that I hadn’t blogged in a LONG time, I knew I had a story that would make him happy: NHL stars are joining Team Earth Hour! As NHL all-star and Team Canada captain Scott Niedermayer puts it, “When it comes to the fight against climate change, we’re all on the same team.” The Montreal Canadiens also created a fun video encouraging fans to participate in the “lights out party” (click the image to watch it). And here’s their pal Youppi getting in on the action. You won’t get many opportunities in life to be part of a team with athletes like these! So sign up for Team Earth Hour today.
