WWF & HP Canada CEOs win a Clean50 award! WWF Canada September 24, 2014 Share: Share This Page: Share with Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Linkedin Share in email When Living Planet @ Work launched the inaugural “Spring Things” campaign this year to forge a link between employee giving and nature conservation, we could not have imagined the sheer excitement that it would ignite in employees across Canada. Our President and CEO, David Miller, and HP Canada’s Managing Director Lloyd Bryant co-chaired an inaugural CEO committee to champion the campaign that centered around three employee engagement events from February to May: Polar Bear Week, Earth Hour Week and WWF’s Annual CN Tower Climb. Click to enlarge. In total, 7 CEOs, 46 companies and their employees participated in “Spring Things” and raised more than $400,000 for conservation! “This campaign marks the first time that businesses united to lead environmental and philanthropic action in Canada. Together we are harnessing the power of employees to generate new funding for the environment and help drive transformational change,” says David Miller, WWF-Canada’s President & CEO. Winning the Clean50 award is the cherry on top to celebrate the successful launch of this new campaign and the leadership of our CEO committee who are helping to chart a new course in employee engagement and philanthropy. “What is gratifying is that our belief in a new way of mobilization is working – giving business two things it needs: engaged employees and footprint reduction, and also a source of a new fundraising stream for WWF and the environment,” says Lloyd Bryant, who not only championed this campaign, but was also the first in the icy waters during WWF’s first-ever polar bear dip fundraiser! Check out the video here. Join Spring Things next year – our campaign will be bigger than ever!
