WWF and TELUS team up for Canadian species!
By Joanna Barrington, Manager, Strategic Partnerships
WWF-Canada and TELUS are joining forces to tackle conservation of Canadian wildlife and their habitats. This $1 million four-year partnership will help raise awareness and funds for WWF’s conservation work such as assessing the health of Canada’s freshwater, smart ocean management and helping to create a sustainable Arctic.
To help raise awareness of environmental issues affecting wildlife in Canada, TELUS launched a holiday campaign that started two weeks ago and will run through to January of 2014, with the goal of raising $250,000 for WWF.
This is where we need your help. Go to TELUS’s www.givewherewelive.ca site and learn how you can help raise funds for WWF! For example, TELUS will donate $1 to WWF with each “share” or “like” garnered on Facebook and on givewherewelive.ca. Also, for every tweet and Instagram photo that includes the hashtag #hometweethome, TELUS will also contribute $1.
TELUS has also dedicated its 2014 calendar to iconic Canadian species such as the grizzly bear, blue heron, orca, caribou and grey wolf.
